Memorial University of Newfoundland is a premier comprehensive university in Atlantic Canada, with a student population of approximately 17,500 students and 2,500 permanent faculty and staff, from more than 90 countries and diverse cultures. Memorial offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree options in arts, science, education, fine arts, medicine, engineering and applied science, business, music, maritime studies, technology and ocean instrumentation, human kinetics and recreation, nursing, pharmacy, resource management and social work. Students can choose from four campuses, each with its own flavour. The province’s capital city, St. John’s, is home to the St. John’s campus, the largest and most comprehensive campus of Memorial. Also located in St. John’s is the Marine Institute, dedicated to education, training, applied research and industrial support for the ocean industries. Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, located on the west coast of the island in Corner Brook, is where Memorial offers a more intimate learning experience and special expertise in environmental and fine arts programming. Our Harlow campus in England is where many of our students find themselves studying the international components of their chosen program.
